Before You Drive
RENTAL AGREEMENT & WAIVER
Please read all terms carefully. A digital signature is required before your rental begins. By signing, you acknowledge and agree to all policies listed below.
01
Renter Eligibility
- Renter must be at least 25 years of age with a valid, government-issued driver's license.
- Any additional driver permitted by the renter must also be at least 25 years of age and hold a valid, government-issued driver's license. Allowing an unauthorized or underage driver to operate the vehicle is a material breach of this agreement.
- The name on the driver's license must match the name on the payment method used.
- Renter must present a valid driver's license at the time of vehicle pickup.
- Only the approved renter and any pre-approved additional drivers listed on this agreement are permitted to operate the vehicle. Unauthorized drivers void all coverage and may result in immediate vehicle recovery.
- Stop and Go Rentals reserves the right to refuse service to any renter at its sole discretion.
02
Mileage Policy
- Daily rentals include 100 miles per day. Miles do not roll over between days.
- Weekly rentals include 500 miles per week.
- Unlimited mileage within Maryland, DC, and Virginia is available for an additional $80 per week.
- Mileage overages on daily rentals are charged at $0.25 per mile unless an unlimited upgrade is purchased.
- Mileage overages on weekly rentals are charged at $0.25 per mile unless an unlimited upgrade is purchased.
- The vehicle must remain within the continental United States at all times. Taking the vehicle outside the US without prior written consent is a material breach of this agreement.
03
Insurance Requirements
- All renters are required to carry their own personal auto insurance policy that covers rental vehicles. Proof of insurance may be requested at pickup.
- Stop and Go Rentals offers optional supplemental insurance coverage for $15 per day. This coverage is for the vehicle only and does not cover personal injury, medical expenses, or third-party liability.
- Weekly rentals include limited liability insurance for the vehicle only at no additional charge. This coverage does not extend to personal injury, passengers, third parties, or personal property.
- Stop and Go Rentals, its owners, affiliates, employees, and agents are not responsible for any personal injury, death, property damage, or loss sustained by the renter, passengers, or third parties arising from the use of the rental vehicle.
- If the renter declines supplemental insurance and does not carry personal insurance, the renter assumes full financial responsibility for all damages, losses, and liabilities.
04
Security Deposit & Forfeiture
- A refundable security deposit of $250 is required for all rentals, payable via Venmo or Apple Pay only.
- The deposit is returned within 7 days of the vehicle's return, provided the vehicle is returned in the same condition it was rented, on time, and with no policy violations.
- The security deposit will be forfeited in full if the vehicle becomes inoperable due to renter negligence, including but not limited to: running out of gas, hitting a curb and bending a rim, tire damage caused by renter, or any accident or collision.
- The security deposit will be forfeited in full if the vehicle is monitored traveling at speeds exceeding 80 miles per hour.
- The security deposit will be forfeited in full if the vehicle is returned with damage not present at the time of pickup.
- If the vehicle is impounded due to the renter parking in a restricted, prohibited, or unauthorized area, the renter agrees to forfeiture of the full security deposit and is solely responsible for paying all impound fees, towing charges, storage fees, and any fines required to release the vehicle.
- Forfeiture of the deposit does not limit Stop and Go Rentals' right to pursue additional damages beyond the deposit amount.
05
Roadside Assistance
- All rentals include roadside assistance coverage for mechanical breakdowns and flat tires that occur through normal vehicle use.
- Roadside assistance does not cover situations caused by renter negligence, including running out of fuel, lockouts caused by renter, accidents, or damage resulting from renter misuse.
- If the vehicle becomes inoperable due to renter fault, the renter is responsible for all towing, recovery, and repair costs in addition to forfeiture of the security deposit.
- Renter must contact Stop and Go Rentals immediately upon any breakdown, accident, or incident involving the vehicle. Failure to notify us promptly may void coverage and result in additional charges.
06
Vehicle Use & Speed Policy
- The vehicle is equipped with GPS tracking. By signing this agreement, the renter consents to vehicle location monitoring for the duration of the rental.
- The maximum permitted speed is 80 miles per hour. Any recorded instance of the vehicle exceeding 80 mph will result in immediate forfeiture of the full security deposit.
- The vehicle may not be used for any illegal activity, racing, off-road driving, towing, or transporting hazardous materials.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the vehicle. A $150 cleaning fee will be charged if evidence of smoking is found.
- Pets are not permitted in the vehicle without prior written approval. Unauthorized pet transport may result in a $100 cleaning fee.
- The vehicle may not be used to transport more passengers than the vehicle's rated seating capacity.
07
Accidents & Incidents
- In the event of an accident, the renter must immediately contact local law enforcement and obtain a police report.
- The renter must notify Stop and Go Rentals within 1 hour of any accident, theft, vandalism, or incident involving the vehicle.
- The renter is responsible for all costs associated with accidents, damage, theft, or vandalism that occur during the rental period, regardless of fault, unless covered by a valid insurance policy.
- The renter agrees to cooperate fully with Stop and Go Rentals and any insurance investigation following an incident.
- Stop and Go Rentals reserves the right to recover the vehicle at any time if the renter is in breach of this agreement.
08
Returns & Late Fees
- The vehicle must be returned by the agreed return date and time.
- Late returns will be charged at the daily rental rate for each additional day or partial day the vehicle is kept beyond the agreed return time.
- The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup. A $25 refueling fee plus the cost of fuel will be charged if the vehicle is returned with less fuel.
- The renter is responsible for all tolls, parking tickets, traffic violations, and fines incurred during the rental period.
09
Liability Waiver & Release
- By signing this agreement, the renter voluntarily waives, releases, and forever discharges Stop and Go Rentals, its owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, successors, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, costs, and expenses of any kind arising out of or related to the rental or use of the vehicle.
- This waiver includes, but is not limited to, claims for personal injury, bodily injury, death, property damage, loss of income, and emotional distress, whether caused by negligence of Stop and Go Rentals or otherwise.
- The renter acknowledges that driving a motor vehicle involves inherent risks and voluntarily assumes all such risks.
- This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Maryland.

- This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior understandings, representations, or agreements.
